Member Chris Snyder located in Ohio, has decided to sell one of her’s and Bill’s STuTZ cars. She has provided the following information and photos. Cosmetically the car appears as it did as purchased in the photos.
1932 Stutz DV-32 LeBaron Convertible Sedan, Chassis DV 42 1497, Engine DV 33207
Purchased by the Snyders in 1999, at the Brooks Hershey Auction. It was imported from England, by James Cox, Sussex Motor Coachworks, in 1998.
Restoration was started in the capable hands of Bill`s son Bill Jr., known for his exquisite restoration of Bill`s Blackhawk Speedster…for reasons unknown, the work was halted.
The car has been reassembled on a partially completed rolling running gear.
The frame, steering, springs, axles, wheels, tires are complete.
The engine has been rebuilt and installed, including manifolds and carburetor, along with a new radiator.
Major mechanicals, such as transmission, differential are ready, but not assembled, nor installed.
The same applies with dash, gauges, column controls, etc.
Brightwork appears to be original, paint, interior, remain as they were as purchased, not original, the result of much older restoration.
Although much more is needed, a lot of expensive work has been completed, offering a tremendous opportunity on this rare desirable custom body classic.
Reasonably priced at $175,000.00 with the work that has been done.
Thanks, in advance, anxious for car to find a good home. For details, pictures, viewing, please contact:
